About the Journal

Journal of Athletic Performance and Sports Medicine (JAPSM) is a non-profit scientific electronic journal. It publishes research, case studies and review articles in the fields of movement and training, sports medicine and exercise sciences. JAPSM is an open access journal, which means that all content is freely available at no cost to the user or their institution. Users may read, download, copy, print, print, search or link to the full texts of articles or use them for any other lawful purpose without prior permission from the publisher or author. This is in line with BOAI's definition of open access. JAPSM is published semi-annually in June and December. JAPSM also publishes editorials, letters to the editors, abstracts of congresses, panels, conferences and symposia and can function as an open forum for discussion on important topics in sports medicine and exercise sciences. Articles written in English should be submitted to JAPSM. The journal content can be presented not only in print (in pdf format) but also using video, audio and interactive software as it is published as an electronic journal. Authors are therefore encouraged to submit articles using all appropriate media. JAPSM does not accept descriptive studies or data reports and manuscripts published on preprint servers.
